Also, the brand showcase the local economy by showing handicrafts the traditional culture and letting people try more of local cuisines instead of having any other packet food.
Commenting on the same, Mr. Kritagya Tripathi, COO & Co-Founder, Shoes on Loose stated “Ladakh is one of the major tourist hubs in India where more than 3,00,000 tourists visited Leh last year alone which is around ten times the number of residents in the town. The rapidly increasing tourist footfalls contribute to the increasing plastic waste and scarcity of water which is ruining Ladakh’s pristine landscape. As a responsible travel company, we aim to create awareness on rising concern in Ladakh among the tourists. Along with creating awareness, we are also taking measures to tackle plastic waste by providing reusable LifeStraw bottles to the travelers who book their Ladakh trip through us. We are sure that with these initiatives we will be able to educate the tourists and at the same time restore the beauty of Ladakh”
