Interview with CloudConnect Communications Co-Founder and Chief Revenue Officer Vidhu Nautiyal

CloudConnect Communications Co-Founder and Chief Revenue Officer Vidhu NautiyalHow are cloud-based companies like CloudConnect get affected by 5G?

The need for a 5G network is escalating globally. Several cutting-edge technological fields are predicted to undergo a revolution thanks to the 5G technology. A variety of industries, especially cloud enterprises, are expected to benefit from the combination of 5G with cloud technology in terms of potential and functionality. According to a research cloud infrastructure and communications networks will become increasingly linked and amalgamated with the deployment of 5G infrastructure. Additionally, the cloud resources will be pushed to the edge of the network, a trend that is anticipated to continue with the development of 5G in the country.

5G brings in more data, which in return powers global cloud applications. All service and cloud providers want to expand their infrastructure and offerings to collect, move, and process this data. As a market leader in cloud telephony and unified communications, 5G would be tremendously advantageous for CloudConnect. Furthermore, better bandwidth appears to be offered by 5G, which will improve customer service and communication. Not to forget the benefits that the huge number of investments and new venture opportunities in the tech sector will get with the introduction of 5G, boosting businesses and economy

“Auctioning 5G to private enterprises” Please comment on this.

Big IT companies will receive a 5G spectrum for the first time for their private captive networks, even though the 5G spectrum will be auctioned off to telecom providers like Bharti Airtel and Reliance Jio. Businesses who want to build their own captive 5G networks must either lease spectrum from operators or hire telecoms to construct them on their behalf. The key motivation for private businesses to purchase range is to provide a captive, private 5G network just for their client’s use (s). Unquestionably, this is a wise decision on the part of the DOT since it will allow businesses to use the services more productively.

Is India 5G ready?

India, the world’s youngest population, is always open to new and improved technologies. India is one of the biggest marketplaces for digital consumers that is expanding the fastest, with more than 82 crore internet subscribers and over 117 crore telecom users. We were ranked as the second-fastest digitizing economy in a 2019 as per the Mckinsey report.

However, we can not ignore the fact that the actual deployment of the 5G technology still has a long way to go. While the country is working hard to achieve the set targets as soon as possible, it is important to note that factors like:

  • allocating funds
  • setting up 5G to support the new technology
  • low status of fiberization
  • high spectrum prices and the related, still needs to be considered for a successful introduction of the new technology in the sector.

We do believe that India is 5G ready. As a country we can ensure a successful deployment, but all factors do need to be worked upon. Hoping for the best and positive outcomes.

How does 5G accelerate digital transformation?

Cloud-based services and 5G are two technologies that are practically linked at the hip. The cloud services model brings resources closer to end-users, and 5G, a best-of-breed cellular technology standard, can be used to connect to those resources.

Better internet access and speed would be made available, ensuring that businesses adopt the digital transformation. Moreover, private networks are a very attractive option for business players as they combine the connectivity needed by IoT and autonomous machines with the traditional human communication needs of voice and data services.

5G technology is intended to provide a better user experience?

Regarding data download rates (expected to be ten times faster than 4G), up to three times greater spectrum efficiency, and extremely low latency, 5G technology is meant to improve user experience. IoT applications that will be benefited includes various sectors like agriculture, education, health, transportation, traffic management, smart cities, smart homes, and many others and the possibility of 5G has everyone thrilled.

Additionally, 5G will allow more data to be processed faster which can prove to be a boon for businesses especially the data driven markets.
