Bharti Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Bharti Enterprises, has emerged as the only NGO among the top 100 to be awarded ‘Great place to Work 2020’ certification. Considered the ‘Gold Standard’ in workplace culture assessment, Great Place to Work identifies best workplaces solely on the basis of employee feedback and quality of people practices in the organization.
The certification is based on the result of an anonymous employee survey conducted by a global external party to ensure a completely unbiased and uninfluenced result. The awarding organization, Great Place to Work Institute, is the global authority for creating, sustaining and identifying high-trust, high-performance culture.
The much sought-after certification is amongst the most coveted recognitions in all industries. More than 1,000 companies from over 20 industries enrolled for the 2020 certification; the top 100 list included companies from varied sectors including information technology, financial services, agriculture, manufacturing, retail, hospitality, etc. Bharti Foundation’s achievement makes it the only non-profit organization to qualify. Bharti Foundation was selected amongst ‘Top 100 Great Place to Work’ in 2018 and 2017 as well.
Mamta Saikia, CEO, Bharti Foundation expressed her delight on having bagged the title and said, “Once again, we have been listed among India’s top 100 companies to work for. I am very inspired by the fact that every employee of Bharti Foundation truly believes that we can change the lives of underprivileged children who study in our schools; that is evident from the kind of passion and commitment that we see on the ground. In addition, a very strong and credible leadership team, a sense of empowerment, unparalleled team spirit and a DNA of innovation sum up to make Bharti Foundation one of the best companies to work for.”
The prestigious certification is bagged by the organizations, which excel on five dimensions – credibility, respect, fairness, pride and camaraderie. This achievement highlights Bharti Foundation’s ideology of creating a safe and happy workplace for its employees, and driving a positive transformation for the empowerment of all its associated internal stakeholders.
The Foundation’s primary focus has been centered on the education of children across rural India while nurturing a culture of positivity, harmony and peace within the organization.
