Boere joins Remote from Uber, where he held various roles and most recently was Global CFO for UberEats. Like all Remote employees, Boere will work from his chosen location in the world – Amsterdam. He reports directly to CEO Job van der Voort.
“Globally distributed businesses are the future. Remote is empowering the next generation of companies to scale internationally in a way that wasn’t possible just four years ago without a lot of upfront capital investment. Now every company can compete in the global market,” said Boere. “I am excited to join Remote during this period of incredible growth to build a finance function that supports Remote’s work to help more companies realize the benefits of a globally distributed workforce.”
As Boere joins Remote, former Senior Vice President of Finance Pedro Monteiro de Barros moves into the role of General Manager, Contractors. With the number of contractors on the Remote platform more than doubling globally within the past year, Barros will act as a leader of Remote’s contractor platform end-to-end and focus on expanding Remote’s reach and leadership within the market.
