Himalaya Wellness Elevates Government Primary School to Provide Sustainable Education Infrastructure

Himalaya Wellness Company has completed the comprehensive renovation of the Government Primary School in Makali, Bengaluru. The project aligns with the Sustainable Developmental Goal SDG-4 for Quality Education, showcasing the Company’s dedication to community development and promoting positive change. Himalaya believes in enriching lives through initiatives guided by our business philosophy “Care for Community”, which brings a positive difference, and the transformed school in Makali is a step toward this commitment.

With the support of government approvals and construction partnerships, Himalaya embarked on a journey to revitalize the educational landscape in the community. The project involved the construction of a new three-story building equipped with modern amenities to provide a conducive learning environment to government primary schoolchildren. The school has a principal room, staff room, separate restrooms for boys and girls, a kitchen, dining hall, three classrooms, a community hall, provision for digital classrooms, and a water purification system. The staff room and classrooms are furnished with modular furniture. Additionally, Himalaya commits to maintaining the school premises for three years.
