Cardo Health appoints Oriel Carew as Chief Growth Officer
Oriel Carew is joining Cardo Health as Chief Growth Officer to lead the company’s growth on its mission to democratise access to healthcare in emerging markets. Oriel will be responsible for driving growth in co-owned companies and leading expansion into new markets through developing and executing investment strategies.
Combining deep expertise in healthcare, business management and strategy, Oriel is driven by a passion to improve healthcare delivery. Prior to joining Cardo Health, she was Director of Strategy and Planning at HCA Healthcare UK, where she led development and implementation of a transformational long-term growth plan encompassing the company’s large network of hospitals, primary care and diagnostics. Previously, she ran Backlogs, the UK’s leading online histopathology reporting company, doubling its rate of growth. Oriel was also a consultant at McKinsey & Co, specializing in healthcare strategy and operations. She holds an MBA from Harvard Business School (Fulbright scholar), a Masters degree from the Fundação Getulio Vargas in São Paulo and Sciences Po in Paris, and a BA (First Class Honours) in Physiological Sciences from Oxford University.
