ShopClues now has half a million sellers on its platform
ShopClues, India’s first and largest managed marketplace now has half a million sellers on its platform. The increased number of merchants has significantly boosted the total available products and unstructured offerings from various regions of the country on ShopClues. This tremendously impacts the choice and selection that the marketplace is able to offer to its shopper base. ShopClues expects 1 million sellers to be available on the platform by December 2016.
ShopClues has constantly gone the extra mile to on-board more sellers to its platform and has helped existing merchants to boost their business tremendously through on-going initiatives. Besides facilitating working capital loans for them, it also has a Merchant Discussion Forum and periodically organises seller summits where it recognises and rewards the outstanding effort of its merchants.
Radhika Aggarwal, Co-Founder and CBO, ShopClues, said “The increasing number of sellers on the platform displays the huge trust that merchants across the country have vested in us. They are eager to partner with ShopClues to leverage our reach and popularity pan-India. The half-million mark is certain to have a positive impact on our overall GMV as increased choice results in a higher conversion rate. With our goal of on-boarding a million merchants by the end of this year, we will cement ShopClues’ market leadership stance as the only online destination shoppers turn to for their entire spectrum of needs.”
ShopClues which boasted close to 3,00,000 sellers in 2015 has aggressively increased its outreach across the country’s merchant base. Out of these, a majority of merchants specialise in unstructured categories that now comprise 85% of the complete seller base of the company. ShopClues’ IndiMarket which showcases area-specific artworks of 8 states and 21 cities of India add to the regional representation of the entire country on the platform. Merchants from various regions of India infuse a fresh and innately Indian touch to the shopping experience on the marketplace.
