IWG appoints Shiven Anand as Head of Franchise Development for India

IWG announced the appointment of Shiven Anand as Head of Franchise Development for India with immediate effect. IWG invented the serviced office business model more than 30 years ago and has been continuously building, expanding, and improving it ever since. Partnering with franchise partners is central to IWG’s strategy to scale up locally to meet the burgeoning demand for flexible, local office spaces in India as companies of all sizes embrace hybrid work patterns. Shiven’s newly created role will provide a focus and point of contact for this mandate.

Shiven brings with him a depth of experience and expertise, with a stellar career that spans over 15 years and strongly focused on corporate expansion strategy. His rich and diverse experience includes establishing a strong foundation for companies seeking to expand their footprint by developing a robust regional and national franchise networks.

Commenting on his new role, Shiven said, “IWG is a global leader in flexible workspaces and I’m excited to be part of their India growth story at this very interesting time. It will be my endeavour in my new role to help the group grow new business opportunities and expand their footprint across the country through the franchise route. IWG now offers its franchise partners an opportunity to support and develop their property investment portfolio – offering a choice of office styles and products. The locations opened are typically no smaller than 10,000 square feet either in stand-alone or multi-let buildings with over 130 workstations. With only one or two people needed for oversight, day-to-day business management is easier, while still providing 24/7 client support.

Ideal IWG franchise partners must have the ability to operate and grow within a branded framework and open multiple centres across the contracted territory over a two-to-five-year period.
