Over 41,000 Petrol Pumps across 550+ Indian districts accept zero cost cashless payments with Paytm

Paytm announced today it has partnered with more than 41,000 Petrol Pumps across 550+ districts in India to enable its cashless payment solution. Two and four wheeler owners can pay for their fuel bills at zero surcharge using Paytm and get rid of the hassles of tendering exact change.

Paytm’s cashless payment solution has been welcomed by the country’s oil industry. With more than 70% of the country’s petrol pumps already live, the segment is growing at 200% month-on-month.

Kiran Vasireddy, Paytm Senior Vice President, said, “We have currently enabled our zero-cost cashless payments at more than 41,000 Petrol Pumps across 550 districts. We are confident commuters across India will find our service extremely convenient and useful.”

Paytm app is now available in 10 regional languages including Hindi to make digital payments accessible to all. The company has also launched a toll-free number 1800 1800 1234 that helps non-smartphone and non-internet users to pay or receive money using Paytm.

Currently over 2 Mn offline merchants across India currently accept Paytm as their preferred payment mode. With its assertive focus on mobile payments, Paytm is inching closer to its aim of making cashless transactions a way of life across India.
