Swiggy delivers over 1 lakh Subway Sandwiches this World Sandwich Day
Subway celebrates World Sandwich Day around the globe on 3rd November. This year, Subway restaurants celebrated the day by offering ‘buy one and get one free’ at participating restaurants and online via Swiggy. More than 400 Subway restaurants on Swiggy across 24 cities participated in this initiative and over 1 lakh sandwiches were delivered during the 24-hour campaign.
According to Swiggy’s order analysis, guests ordered over 5 times more sandwiches during this day, with Mumbai and Delhi ordering the highest. The most ordered Subway subs by Indians were Paneer Tikka, Aloo Patty, Chicken Tandoori and Chicken Tikka. The favourite accompaniments along with subs were cookies and truffle cake. What’s interesting is that about 40,000 guests tried Subway on the platform for the very first time during this offer period.
Commenting on the association with Swiggy this World Sandwich Day, Ranjit Talwar, Country Director from Subway said that “For the second consecutive year Subway is celebrating World Sandwich Day. The day Subway fans from around the world come together and savour the taste of their favourite Subway sandwich. Subway runs a ‘Buy one Get one free’ offer for all our guests during World Sandwich Day, a way to thank all our guests for their love and loyalty. This year we have tied up again with Swiggy, as our Delivery partner, at a PAN India level, to thank all our guests by offering this special World Sandwich Day deal through their platform as well.”
