How to change the Netflix user interface (from English) to Hindi

As Netflix continues to invest heavily in Indian stories, it has also launched its user interface in Hindi. This enables Netflix members who prefer Hindi to easily discover, access and enjoy their favourite Indian and international films and series. The complete Netflix experience in Hindi, from sign up to search, rows, collections and payment, is available across all devices on mobile, TV and web.

Recently, the WATConsult report titled ‘Digital, Diverse and Multilingual India’ said that by December 2020, close to 70% of all internet users will access the internet in their local languages.

Here’s how existing Netflix members can switch their user interface from English to Hindi:

Step 1 – Sign into your Netflix account on Netflix.com from your web browser on your device

Step 2 – Select your profile and choose Manage profiles

Step 3 – Click on Language drop down menu and select Hindi

Step 4 – Save your preferences, and get started on streaming your favorite titles!

New members can select Hindi as their preferred language when asked during the signup process.

On Netflix, members can set upto five profiles in each account, and each profile can have a different language setting. Netflix members outside India also have the option to switch their user interface to Hindi.

Netflix recently unveiled an exciting lineup of 17 original stories, including six new films and two new series including Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl, Ludo, Torbaaz, Mismatched, and A Suitable Boy. Netflix’s stellar catalogue of international and local content (original and licensed) can be accessed starting at just INR 199/ month.
