Vendfun Launches Nano-S Self Check-In Kiosk at HOSAS 2026
Vendfun Sdn. Bhd., a Malaysia-based hospitality solutions provider, announced the launch of Nano-S, a compact self-service kiosk designed to streamline front-desk operations, enhance the guest experience, and improve efficiency for independent, boutique and 3-star hotels or below. Unveiled at Malaysia’s hospitality automation summit, HOSAS 2026, the sleek Nano-S delivers full-service functionality without taking up valuable lobby space.
The Nano-S integrates four core detachable components which are a receipt printer, a passport and ID scanner, a payment terminal, and a card dispenser, in a single, space-saving unit. The payment terminal supports deposit pre-authorization, reducing manual front-desk work while safeguarding hotel revenue. With its detachable printer, the Nano-S also lets environmentally conscious hotels operate fully paperless, issuing e-receipts straight to guests’ email inboxes with no paper printing.
Every Nano-S includes the Vendfun Membership Solution at no extra cost, giving hotels a ready-made loyalty program without additional infrastructure. Guests are automatically enrolled in the hotel’s membership program during check-in. The reward structure is designed to be simple and easy to understand — stay 10 nights within a one-year period, get one night free — and is built to drive higher occupancy, increased guest lifetime value, more repeat bookings, and consistent revenue growth.
Benny Wee, CEO of Vendfun, said, “The Nano-S represents everything we believe self-service hospitality technology should be — compact, intuitive, and genuinely useful to both guests and operators. By pairing the compact kiosk with a built-in loyalty engine, we’re giving hoteliers a way to modernize check-in and seamlessly build guest relationships at the same time, without added cost or complexity.”
“Our new in-house, proprietary 2-in-1 passport and ID card scanner is built to read a wide range of identity documents from around the world. That is made possible by our own ID-card learning capability, so the system keeps getting smarter and works wherever our hotel partners operate,” he explained.
An optional HD camera add-on enables secure facial verification, video concierge services, and enhanced guest engagement through high-quality imaging. In Singapore, the camera is included as standard, supporting the digital identity checks required for EVA-Ready check-in; in Malaysia and the rest of the world it is available as an add-on.
“The Nano-S has our smallest footprint yet, so it fits neatly onto even a compact countertop. That matters in markets like Singapore, where lobby space comes at a premium,” Benny commented.
In Singapore, Vendfun is recognized as an EVA-Ready vendor under the Singapore Tourism Board’s E-Visitor Authentication (EVA)-Ready Programme, confirming the Nano-S can deliver digital check-in that automatically verifies international visitors’ stay validity.
The Nano-S is Vendfun’s fifth-generation self-check-in kiosk since the company entered the hospitality sector in 2020 and follows the deployment of more than 150 units across 12 Malaysian states, as well as in Australia, Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand and the United States.
The Nano-S is currently marketed to hotels in Malaysia directly by Vendfun and will be offered to hotels across ASEAN later this year.
